An experienced Attorney-at- law, providing complex legal advice to leading entities on the Polish insurance market, including the AXA Group and the AVIVA Group, as well as numerous entities in other sectors, such as production, distribution, and real estate. An expert in the area of insurance law as well as a professional court attorney in common courts and the Supreme Court, she has gathered extensive experience in the field of non-life insurance, especially in third party liability insurance. She advises insurers and insurance intermediaries, including agents and brokers acting on the territory of Poland, both domestic ones and those from international capital groups. Iwona provides legal opinions on the distribution models as well as individual contracts concluded between insurers and insurance intermediaries. She has vast experience in the preparation of documentation related to insurance products, such as, for example, general insurance terms and conditions. She had prepared a variety of legal opinions and has drafted amendments to such documentation. She has also adapted numerous insurance products to the needs of the Polish market and the regulatory requirements. For many years, Iwona has been acting as a court attorney in various insurance law matters as well as in the area of real estate. She also has considerable experience in managing cases in the areas of insolvency, and labour law. She is a member of the Polish AIDA Chapter (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances) and an arbiter at the Arbitration Court at the Polish Financial Supervisory Commission. Iwona advises in Polish and English.
Attorney-at- law working on the insurance market since 1999: initially with CMS Cameron McKenna and then, has worked for Hogan Lovells for many years, providing legal advisory services to the entities operating on the Polish market of financial institutions, including insurers, banks, insurance intermediaries and financial intermediaries. Anna is an insurance law expert, in particular in the area of regulatory matters, cross- border services, distribution of insurance products, and bancassurance. She has provided legal assistance for many international capital groups. She advises in such fields as the creation, adaptation to the market, and legal requirements of the documentation regarding insurance products, including highly innovative ones. She has been involved in consumer protection issues on the Polish market for many years now, including payment protection insurance as well as special insurance products with various collateral functions. Anna advises on matters regarding insurance secrecy, data protection, and other specific regulations of the insurance market. She is an arbiter of the Arbitration Court at the Polish Financial Supervisory Commission, and a mediator at the Mediation Centre at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at- law in Warsaw. She is a lecturer at various universities and higher education institutions as well as at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at- law in Warsaw, offering lectures on insurance law and financial institutions. She has authored various publications on insurance law. She has participated and lectures at numerous sector conferences, both in Poland and abroad. Katarzyna has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University, School of American Law and the Centre for Italian and European Law (conducted by Warsaw University). She has also studied at the Faculty of Law of Università degli Studi di Padova. For several years, she has worked for law offices and provided legal assistance to one of the insurance companies.
An expert in the area of civil procedure, Katarzyna has a long term experience in conducting court proceedings in civil law issues, successfully representing clients before common courts and the Supreme Court. She is an experienced specialist in the field of civil liability, both contractual and tort, property and personal damage and related claims for compensation and damages. At our Law Firm, she conducts and coordinates highly complex disputes in the field of civil law, in particular in the field of commercial property insurance. She has significant experience in issues regarding corporate law, especially commercial, business, and labour law, including litigation cases in these areas. She also deals with administrative proceedings as well as administrative court proceedings. She represents clients in litigation cases in the area of environmental protection, in particular the protection against the noise.

Bartosz has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Warsaw University. He has gained professional experience in insurance supervisory authorities, including many years experience as the head of the legal services section in the Legal Department of the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority. He was responsible for providing legal services in the field of insurance and pension supervision, as well as cross-sector issues. For many years, he has actively participated in all important legislative procedures concerning the Polish insurance market. Between 2005 and 2008 he was a representative of the Polish Supervisory Authority in CEIOP’s (currently EIOPA) Intermediaries’ Expert Group. He is an expert in the regulation and supervision of day-to-day operation of the insurance market, with regard to both insurance companies and other entities operating on the insurance market. He has experience in insurance products and insurance distribution. At our Firm, he coordinates matters in the field of commercial life insurance, including products linked with insurance capital funds. He also deals with specific financial market issues, in particular investment funds and credit rating agencies. He has long term experience in administrative proceedings and administrative court proceedings.
Bartosz is a speaker at many domestic and international conferences on insurance issues. A lecturer, author of numerous publications on civil and public insurance law, he is also the co-author of a commentary to the Capital Market Law and a commentary to the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activity. Bartosz is a member of the Polish AIDA Chapter (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances).

Attorney-at-law, Of Counsel
Professor Lukasz Gruszczynski is an attorney-at-law. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University and Central European University in Budapest (LL.M.). Combining his professional interests with his academic career – Prof. Gruszczynski has obtained his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence, and later his postdoctoral degree from the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He currently holds a position of Associate Professor at the Department of International and European Union Law at Kozminski University and Research Fellow at the Institute for Legal Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Gruszczynski is an expert in European and international law. He particularly specializes in the issues relating to implementation of European law, freedoms of the common market and international trade law. He has extensive experience in advising entities operating on the EU market. He started his career in the financial institutions department at the Warsaw office of Lovells, and later has cooperated with Trusiewicz & Siwko law office (financial projects).
He is an author of numerous publications (including two monographs with Oxford University Press) and a lecturer at various Polish and foreign universities. Prof. Gruszczynski is also Managing Editor of the Polish Yearbook of International Law and member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Risk Regulation (Cambridge University Press).

Karolina has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Łódź University and later completed her postgraduate studies at Warsaw University in the field of "Intellectual and industrial property and competition law." She has been granted a scholarship of the Government of Switzerland at the Faculty of Law at Freiburg University.
She has been associated with the insurance industry since 2009. She has gained her insurance law experience at law firms and as an independent expert in the loss adjustment area, supervising loss adjustment processes in property damage, liability of manufacturers, as well as distributors of electricity. She specializes in civil law, in particular in the area of liability for damages (contractual and tort liability). For many years she has been associated with Section II of commercial insurance, i.e. property insurance, both in terms of issuing opinions on the insurer's liability and conducting court cases in this respect.
She is fluent in German.
He has graduated from the Law and Administration Faculty at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń and has completed his MBA studies organised by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development, in cooperation with the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and the University of Gdańsk.
He specializes in civil law, in particular commercial insurance and labour law, including issues related to discrimination in employment. He is the author of the book „Jak uniknąć dyskryminacji w procesie rekrutacji i selekcji pracowników” (How to avoid discrimination in the recruitment and selection of employees) (ODDK, 2013). He is a lecturer in legal aspects of employment at postgraduate studies in personnel management offered at the SWPS University in Warsaw, Sopot campus. He represents the our Firm's clients before both district and circuit courts throughout the country.

Monika has graduated from the Law and Administration Faculty of Gdańsk University. She has taken part in the International and European Legal Studies Programme at the Universiteit Antwerpen in Belgium within the ERASMUS program. She has also graduated from the German School of Law - „Schule des Deutschen Rechts”, co-organised by Universität zu Köln and Gdańsk University.
She has completed her attorney-at-law traineeship at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-law in Bydgoszcz, and in 2017 she passed the bar exam. In 2019 she completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń and in the same year she defended her doctoral dissertation on the problem of perpetual clauses in European constitutions. She has authored several scientific articles on constitutional law issues.
She has gained her professional experience in law firms in Gdańsk, Rumia, Bydgoszcz and Warsaw. She specializes in matters of commercial and civil law, in particular commercial insurance and civil liability issues. She has experience in conducting settlement negotiations. As an experienced litigator, she conducts court cases all over the country.

Małgorzata has graduated from the Faculty of Law at Szczecin University. She has gained her professional experience in law firms in Warsaw and Szczecin. She deals with civil and commercial law, in particular in matters related to commercial insurance. She has experience in pre-litigation proceedings, among other things in the area of conducting settlement negotiations. For many years now, she has also been conducting disputes in the field of commercial insurance, in particular liability for personal injury. An experienced litigator, she represents clients of our Firm in court disputes all over the country. Małgorzata also advises clients on commercial law in its broadest sense, including corporate issues, due diligence analyses and the functioning of commercial companies' bodies. At our Firm she coordinates court cases conducted on behalf of the Firm's clients.

He has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of University of Gdańsk. Has He gained his professional experience while working with the largest Polish insurance companies and law firms, dealing with issues of civil law, in particular in disputes arising from insurance contracts, banking law, including foreign currency loans and maritime labour law, as well as maritime damages. He conducts disputes mainly in the area of commercial property insurance, including both contractual and tort liability. He advises clients on broadly defined corporate law, such as commencement, conduct and liquidation of business activity on the Polish market. His professional interests also focus on public law regulation of the insurance market. He has experience in conducting settlement negotiations in matters arising from civil liability insurance contracts.

Hubert has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University. He has completed his attorney-at-law traineeship at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-law in Warsaw.
He has gained his professional experience in law firms in Warsaw, provided legal assistance to leading Polish insurance companies. An expert in the area of civil and commercial law, in particular commercial insurance and civil liability issues.
For many years now, he has been conducting disputes in the field of commercial insurance, in particular liability for personal injury and related claims for compensation and damages, claims for a change in the manner of performance of the obligation by the insurance company in connection with the exhaustion of the guarantee sum, representing clients before common courts and the Supreme Court. His professional interests focus on civil law, inheritance law, criminal law and commercial insurance law. He also has experience in conducting settlement negotiations in civil matters.

So far, she has gained professional experience in a law firm in Lodz and then in a law firm in Warsaw specializing in copyright law.

Graduate of the Law Faculty at the Leon Koźmiński Academy. From January 2019, he is a trainee attorney-at-law at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw. So far, he has gained professional experience mainly in law firms providing services to business entities, in particular companies. As an in-house lawyer in one of the IT companies, he was responsible for the areas of IT, e-commerce and copyright law.
