An experienced Attorney-at- law, providing complex legal advice to leading entities on the Polish insurance market, including the AXA Group and the AVIVA Group, as well as numerous entities in other sectors, such as production, distribution, and real estate. An expert in the area of insurance law as well as a professional court attorney in common courts and the Supreme Court, she has gathered extensive experience in the field of non-life insurance, especially in third party liability insurance. She advises insurers and insurance intermediaries, including agents and brokers acting on the territory of Poland, both domestic ones and those from international capital groups. Iwona provides legal opinions on the distribution models as well as individual contracts concluded between insurers and insurance intermediaries. She has vast experience in the preparation of documentation related to insurance products, such as, for example, general insurance terms and conditions. She had prepared a variety of legal opinions and has drafted amendments to such documentation. She has also adapted numerous insurance products to the needs of the Polish market and the regulatory requirements. For many years, Iwona has been acting as a court attorney in various insurance law matters as well as in the area of real estate. She also has considerable experience in managing cases in the areas of insolvency, and labour law. She is a member of the Polish AIDA Chapter (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances) and an arbiter at the Arbitration Court at the Polish Financial Supervisory Commission. Iwona advises in Polish and English.
Attorney-at- law working on the insurance market since 1999: initially with CMS Cameron McKenna and then, has worked for Hogan Lovells for many years, providing legal advisory services to the entities operating on the Polish market of financial institutions, including insurers, banks, insurance intermediaries and financial intermediaries. Anna is an insurance law expert, in particular in the area of regulatory matters, cross- border services, distribution of insurance products, and bancassurance. She has provided legal assistance for many international capital groups. She advises in such fields as the creation, adaptation to the market, and legal requirements of the documentation regarding insurance products, including highly innovative ones. She has been involved in consumer protection issues on the Polish market for many years now, including payment protection insurance as well as special insurance products with various collateral functions. Anna advises on matters regarding insurance secrecy, data protection, and other specific regulations of the insurance market. She is an arbiter of the Arbitration Court at the Polish Financial Supervisory Commission, and a mediator at the Mediation Centre at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at- law in Warsaw. She is a lecturer at various universities and higher education institutions as well as at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at- law in Warsaw, offering lectures on insurance law and financial institutions. She has authored various publications on insurance law. She has participated and lectures at numerous sector conferences, both in Poland and abroad. Attorney-at-law, Partner for international issues
Attorney-at-law with a long time experience in insurance law. Katarzyna advises in creation and development of the insurance products, legal aspects on loss adjustment on account of insurance contracts in both, professional and consumers contracts, local and international. She is an expert in insurance intermediation and widely understood insurance distribution, including creation of relations and structures of cooperation between insurers and insurance intermediaries. She coordinated, on behalf of the Association of Polish Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, the work on the implementation of the directive on the distribution of insurance to the Polish law system. She has been also advising on other insurance law aspects for many years now. Her specialization includes also international space law, contracts in the space industry, as well as liability for damages. Katarzyna combines her professional practice with scientific development. She devoted her habilitation work to space insurance (Space Insurance: International Legal Aspects). The work was regarded as outstanding, considerably contributing to the Polish and world science achievements in the field of insurance law. She is currently scientifically connected with Leon Koźmiński Academy. She’s an author of at least several dozen publications on insurance law, including insurance and space insurance distribution. She is a frequent speaker at Polish and international conferences. Currently she is a Chairperson of the Polish section of AIDA (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances / Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Prawa Ubezpieczeniowego). Katarzyna speaks English, German and French.
Katarzyna graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University, School of American Law and the Center for Italian and European Law (conducted by Warsaw University). She has also studied at the Faculty of Law of the Università degli Studi di Padova. For several years, she has worked for law offices and provided legal assistance to one of the insurance companies conducting business activity on the Polish market. Katarzyna has a long term experience in conducting court proceedings in civil law issues, successfully representing clients before the common courts and the Supreme Court. She also deals with administrative proceedings as well as administrative court proceedings. Katarzyna advises clients in the field of civil law, in particular insurance law, mainly in non-life insurance sector. She has significant experience in issues regarding commercial, business, and labor law. She represents clients in litigation cases in the area of environmental protection, in particular the protection against the noise. She speaks English and Italian.
Bartosz Wojno, attorney-at-law, a long-term employee of a number of insurance supervisory authorities. In 2012, he started managing the legal service section in the Legal Department of the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority, a body responsible for legal services within insurance and pension supervision as well as many cross-sector issues. He has actively participated in all the important legislative procedures concerning the Polish insurance market. Between 2005-2008 he was a representative of the Polish Supervisory Authority in CEIOP’s (currently EIOPA) Intermediaries’ Expert Group. He is a speaker at many domestic and international conferences devoted to insurance matters. A lecturer, author of numerous publications on civil and public insurance law in recognized periodicals and collective monographs, he is also a co-author of a commentary to the Capital Market Law and a commentary to the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activity. Bartosz is a member of the Polish AIDA Chapter (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances). He speaks English.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Łódź University, she has commenced postgraduate studies at Warsaw University in the field of "Intellectual property rights, industrial and competition." She has taken a scholarship of the Government of Switzerland at the Faculty of Law at Freiburg University. Karolina has gained her insurance law experience from being associated with the insurance industry and law firms since 2009. She has also worked for independent experts in loss adjustment, supervising loss adjustment processes in property damage, liability of manufacturers, as well as distributors of electricity. She specializes in civil law and property insurance. Karolina has also experience in litigation in the context of insurance law. She is fluent in German.
Małgorzata graduated from the Faculty of Law at Szczecin University. She participated in MOST program, where she took classes and lectures organized by the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. Małgorzata gained her professional experience in law firms in Warsaw and Szczecin. She deals with civil and commercial law, in particular in matters related to private (commercial) insurance. Małgorzata has also experience in negotiating settlements in matters arising from business insurance contracts and handles many corporate-related matters. Małgorzata is an experienced litigation lawyer. She represents clients of our law office across the country.

Monika completed the Law and Administration Faculty of Gdańsk University. Took part in the International and European Legal Studies Programme at the Universiteit Antwerpen in Belgium within ERASMUS program. She also graduated from German School of Law - „Schule des Deutschen Rechts” co-organised by Universität zu Köln and Gdańsk University. She completed attorney-at-law traineeship at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-law in Bydgoszcz. PhD candidate at the Constitutional Law Department of the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń. She gained her professional experience while working for law offices in Gdańsk, Rumia and Bydgoszcz. She specializes in civil law and commercial law cases. She is an experienced litigation lawyer, conducting courts cases throughout the whole country. Monika speaks English and German.
Attorney since 2012. She is a member of the Bar Association in Warsaw. She specializes in civil law, with a particular interest in the fields of insurance law, copyright, commercial law, protection of personal rights and corporate law. She also has experience in criminal matters, including matters related to the so-called white-collar crimes. As an attorney-at-law, she has many years of experience in conducting legal audits for companies, representing clients in civil and criminal trials and advising on unfair competition and consumer rights' issues. She also has many years of experience in assisting entities from the insurance sector, including for regulatory and distribution matters. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok, after having successfully defended her Master's thesis entitled "Conflict of freedom of speech with the right to privacy by doctrine and jurisprudence" and completed her post-graduate studies in Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University. In 2007, she was granted a scholarship by the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She passed the matriculation exam at St. Bernard High School in Saint Bernard, Louisiana, USA.
In her professional practice, she specializes primarily in civil law, with particular emphasis on any issues in relation with business insurance. She has many years of experience in litigation (representing insurers and other entities in the insurance market in court proceedings), acting on behalf of clients before financial institutions. She gives advice to coverholders (representing syndicates operating on the Lloyd's market in Great Britain) in relation with the legal aspects of taking up and conducting insurance activities in Poland. She advises Polish and foreign insurance companies and insurance intermediaries, prepares solutions to adapt their activities to new legal regulations, draws up legal opinions including analysis of complex issues with regards to insurance law, and reviews general insurance conditions. She participates in loss adjustment procedure. She advises and helps in negotiating the terms of agreements and settlements aiming at the best protection of clients' interests. She is a member of the Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw
Joanna graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration, Warsaw University. She completed attorney-at-law apprenticeship at the Warsaw Bar Association. Her extensive professional experience Joanna gained in particular in law firms. She has a great experience in working for entities conducting activity on the Polish insurance market, specifically in relation to the civil liability insurance, including third party liability insurance of the entities actin in the construction, medical, tourist, commercial and real estate as well as building management. Joanna specializes in civil law related issues, in particular in relation to insurance law. Joanna has long term experience in contract negotiation and conciliation at the pre-trial stage. She speaks English.
Associate Professor Łukasz Gruszczyński is an attorney-at- law with extensive experience in advising entities conducting regulated activities, including those operating on the Polish financial market. He has started his career in the financial institutions department at the Warsaw office of Lovells. He combines his professional interests with his academic career - he has obtained his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence, and his postdoctoral degree from the Polish Academy of Sciences. Łukasz is an Associate Professor at the European School of Law and Administration (Department of International Law) and the Institute of Legal Sciences (Department of International Law). Currently holds a function of a Professor at INP PAN (Institute of International Law in the Polish Academy of Sciences). Professor Gruszczyński is a specialist european and international commercial law as well as in international regulations for tobacco products.
An author of numerous publications, he is a co-editor of the journal Polish Yearbook of International Law and European Journal of Risk Regulation (Cambridge University Press).

Attorney-at-law with long-term experience in relation to insurance law, data protection law, copyright law, commercial law and real estate law. He has an extensive experience in a matters relating to liquidation of losses, in particular corporate losses, as well as in litigation, especially with regard to insurance contracts. He advises comprehensively on the adjustment of a commercial entities to the GDPR regulations, with particular reference to the entities on the insurance market. He also deals with copyright law and modern technologies matters. He advises on contracts on implementation of the IT systems, service level contracts and license contracts. He has an extensive experience in commercial law matters. He advises in the processes of creating, merging, and dividing of a commercial entities, as well as in a matters of operational activities. For many years he was responsible for legal advisory in real estate transactions. His responsibilities on that field included advisory for developers, advisory on sale and purchase of real estates, drafting a contracts on design works relating to real estates, construction contracts as well as contracts on lease of commercial real estates. He has commenced postgraduate studies at Warsaw University in the field of "Intellectual property rights" and postgraduate studies in the field of “Modern technologies” at Akademia Leona Koźmińskiego. Maciej speaks English.
Paweł graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Lublin. He completed his advocate training at the District Bar Council in Krakow. He gained his professional experience cooperating with law firms and local self-government bodies. Paweł deals with civil law matters, in particular with procedural law, recently specializing in claims arising from insurance contracts. Paweł represents the clients of LTLEGAL all over the country, both in the district and superior courts. He also has several years of experience in the field of criminal law and criminal proceedings.
Łukasz is attorney-at-law trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association. He has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at University of Gdańsk. His professional experience Łukasz gained in working for leading entities on the Polish insurance market. He has also worked for law firms in Tricity, where he specializes in civil law, especially in insurance law, banking law, including matters related to credit in foreign currency and maritime labour law, in particular in matters concerning seafarers rehabilitation and compensation. His professional interests also concentrate towards the area of insurance market regulatory issues. Łukasz has also experience in negotiating settlements in matters arising from third party liability insurance contracts. Łukasz speaks English.
He graduated from the Law and Administration faculty at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń; currently an attorney–at– law trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association. He completed the MBA studies organised by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development and the cooperation with Gdańsk University and Rotterdam – Erasmus from Rotterdam – University in Rotterdam. He used to cooperate with a consulting firm and law offices in Warsaw, mainly specilizing in the civil litigation cases. He specialises in civil and labour law, including the non-discrimination issues in employment. He is an author of the book „Jak uniknąć dyskryminacji w procesie rekrutacji i selekcji pracowników” (ODDK, 2013). He provides lectures on various issues regarding employment on the SWPS University in Warsaw, Sopot bureau. He used to work in the international environment.

Dominika graduated from Law and Administration Faculty of the Warsaw University. From January 2019 she started her attorney-at-law training at the Warsaw Bar Association. She started gaining ger first professional experience as a student of 3rd year of law faculty, working in one of the attorney-at-laws offices in Warsaw. Her master thesis concerned issues of joint stock companies – acsquisition of own shares by a joint stock company. She develops her experience in insurance law as well as commercial law. Dominika speaks English.
Anna is an attorney-at-law trainee at the Olsztyn Bar Association, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Anna gained her professional experience while working in law firms and public institutions. She focuses on civil and commercial law, with particular emphasis on business insurance including civil liability. Anna supports clients at the pre-trial stage, and participates in the preparation of pleadings as well as represents clients before common courts. Anna is a court mediator with an extensive experience in conducting settlement negotiations. Anna speaks English.
Bracken Crossley graduated from the Faculty of law at Aix-Marseille University, in France, in 2017. She obtained her Masters degree in Company law and Tax law and passed an additional degree in Tax law, Business law and Accountancy. She completed an apprenticeship within the Legal Affairs of the ITER Organisation (an intergovernmental organisation the object of which is to demonstrate the scientific and technological feasibility of fusion energy) during her final year at University. During her studies, she also completed a three-month internship in a Swiss tax law firm. Since March 2018, she has been working for a French law firm named Jouanjan&Partners specialised in international tax law. Bracken conducts her yearly traineeship with LTLEGAL as a lawyer of Jouanjan&Partners. She is bilingual in French and English.
Aleksandra is a fifth-year law student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. She was awarded Rector's Scholarship for the best students. Aleksandra gained her previous professional experience in law firms and in a company dealing with loss adjustment. Her interests are focused on civil law and business insurance law. She speaks English.
